We will compare and contrast the specifications and features of our new JVC HDV pro camera and our new JVC 3 chip mini DV camera.
Presenter: Mike VanderSteen, Certified JVC Specialist from Hamilton Video and Sound.

On Wednesday September 13th, 2006 the new Board of Trustees met to elect The Factory Executive.
Chair: Barry Rueger
Past Chair: Josefa Radman
Secretary: Steve Mazza
Treasurer: Andre Ciere
At that same meeting community appointee and Secretary James Novak tendered his resignation.
The Factory will miss James’ input and guidance, yet are assured that he will continue to play an important role in our organization.
The Factory’s Annual General Meeting took place on Wednesday September 6, 2006. As well as
approving numerous by-law amendments, the membership elected a slate of new and returning Trustees.
New to the Board of The Factory are:
Douglas Drake, Cynthia Hill, Stephen Mazza, Barry Rueger, and Stepan Sivko.
Re-elected for another term are:
J. Aldric Gaudet, Kelly Hilton, and Lorne Kredl
Remaining for the balance of their terms are Josefa Radman, Andre Ciere and Barb Shackleton.
Thank You to those Trustees who have left the Board this year:
Alan Fox, Ian Jarvis, Pam Tyrrell.

Held on the third Monday of every month, Media Monday is a meeting of the minds. Come and join us for an evening of brainstorming, networking and troubleshooting. It is an excellent opportunity to discuss your projects and ideas with other fellow media artists.
The Factory, Hamilton’s not-for-profit media arts centre is proud to present a unique and eclectic series of screenings coinciding with the James Street North Gallery Crawl on the 2nd Friday night of every month.
Friday October 13 Häxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages
A unique Live Music/Silent Film event featuring sound artist Matthew Boughner who will create an improvised musical score utilizing guitar, treated vocalizations, and table top electronics to explore dark and grotesque soundscapes to the silent film classic.
